LaKiesha Collie is the founder and lead Doula of Reigny Dae Births. Although new to the field, LaKiesha has had a long career in the police force, which allowed her to develop skills in crisis response. She also completed a Bachelor’s in Child Psychology at the University of Texas in 2008. However, this diverse experience is not what brought LaKiesha to found her own company as a Doula. As a wife and mother of three children, LaKiesha has had the opportunity to undergo several successful labors. The first two were cesareans and her most recent birth was a non-medicated, vaginal birth. The experience was completely transformative for this future doula. LaKiesha knew she wanted to endure labor and experience the birthing process, but did not know how amazing it would be to push her child out on her own. And that night, LaKiesha “birthed more than a baby”, she “birthed [her] purpose”.

Motivated by her newfound connection to motherhood and inspired by her doula, Ebon’Nae Bradley, her midwife, Ashley Greene, and her mother, Vickie Gordan, Reigny Dae Births was born in February 2022. With “nothing to lose and everything to gain”, LaKiesha took a chance on herself and began this journey with training and certifications from Doulas of North America (DONA) and BEST Doula Training. She is now a certified Doula and Childbirth Educator where she gained expertise in comfort measures, anatomy, adult/child CPR, and not only how to advocate for mothers, but also how to teach them to advocate for themselves. At this point in her career, LaKiesha has participated and assisted in ten successful births. Her goal is to share remarkable moments and lasting knowledge she learned with her recent birth with all of her clients.
